About the ACHS Dental & Oral Health Program
ACHS is very excited about its new Dental & Oral Health Program at the ACHS-Littleton campus.
• is available to all ACHS patients and beyond
• accepts Medicaid patients
• provides a sliding-fee-scale for payment of services for those who qualify
• integrates dental & oral health care into primary and behavioral health care and pharmacy services for ACHS patients
• focuses on education and prevention that is patient-centered
Ammonoosuc Community Health Services, Inc. (ACHS) opened the ACHS Dental & Oral Health Center in late 2014 on the campus of ACHS-Littleton. ACHS offers primary preventive health care to the community and has done so since 1975. By bringing dental and oral health care in-house, ACHS successfully integrates these services into its model of care by adding a dentist and dental hygienist to the patient-centered health care team. Our mission is to provide access to top quality, affordable oral health care to all in the North Country of New Hampshire.
The dentist and hygienist share the same medical record system as the health care providers, making it easy to exchange information. Often dental issues are a result of more serious health care issues and the health care provider can refer to the Dental Center in a timely fashion, possibly preventing an emergency situation and visit.
The ACHS Dental & Oral Health Center is a community-based dental program providing top quality, affordable oral health care to all in the North Country of New Hampshire. All are welcome with or without insurance. Dental care is offered to the uninsured on a sliding fee scale to those who qualify based on income. Most health insurance plans are also accepted.
You do not need to be an ACHS patient to use the Dental & Oral Health Center, however, some may want to become a primary care patient and have access to behavioral health and pharmacy services as well.
Having all these services under the ACHS roof brings convenience and integrated health care to the patient.
